We are more than just drone pilots! Hummingbird is always monitoring the ever-changing drone laws. When we started in 2014, drone regulations were just being developed. From Section 333 to Part 107, Hummingbird has been around long enough to see drone laws come to fruition, and are always up-to-date on our licenses. We currently operate under Part 107, and carry insurance! 

Typically when it comes to wind, we start losing video quality around 20mph. We are able to operate safely in winds up to 25mph. We know this can be inconvenient in a state like Oklahoma, so we always offer rain checks for each drone flight. 

Like 5 miles far! However, in the US under Part 107, we are limited to line-of- sight regulations to ensure safety for us and manned aircraft in the area. 

It really depends on the aircraft. Our newer rigs can stay up in the air for 30 mins at a time! However, when we start bringing out the bigger cinema drone, battery life can be around 5-7 minutes. That’s why we have tons of back-up batteries on each job site! 

We love this question. It is almost like asking , “how much does a car cost?” Really that depends on how good of a car you want! Each drone project presents its own unique challenges, therefore we quote each job on a project to project basis. 

Absolutely! We have multiple video editors in-house that have years of experience cutting, correcting, and grading digital footage. We are happy to edit your drone projects.
